Sleep Deprivation

To combat the effects of a persistent rash, my doctor put me on a dose of five days of prednezone.  I was warned of the side effects, which are legion.

  1. If you have any of these side effects, stop taking prednisone and call your doctor right away:

    • Vision problems.

    • Eye pain, redness, or tearing.

    • Signs of infection, such as sore throat, fever, chills, and cough.

    • Seizures.

    • Depression.

    • Loss of contact with reality.

    • Confusion.

    • Muscle twitching or tightening.

Down there somewhere under "more items", the one that is giving me fits resides - sleep deprivation.  Suffering from interrupted sleep normally, it really began to affect me.  The first night, I got one hour's worth - from 5:30 am to 6 something.  I am a creative problem solver, and have been trained how to devise and implement real life solutions.  When you're not sleeping, your mind is really revving.

Before very long, I decide the best solution is to WRITE IT OUT.

Normally, I pop out with fiction novel plots, much magic realism, action/adventure, a dollop of romance, and a sprinkling of religion and guru-like self-help slogans, or wry world view essays on whatever topic has caught my eye.

What popped into my sleep-deprived brain, which was only marginally functional?  TO DO lists.

I will put the one for 8/23/15, the date I dreamed up this solution, in, then move them to the proper dates later.

#46.  Journal entry - suffering from sleep deprivation fro prednezone one day left on a five day prescription.  Try writing it out to relieve/reverse.  (Hence - lengthy to do lists, surely a boring enough activity to be stupifying.  Did 10 things of the 49 on the first day's list.  [frowny face with wavy hair on both sides].
