Weird Writing Exercises

I bought a Rubik's cube a while back and just got to looking at the squares, 9 on a side, (red, green, blue, orange, yellow, white). Your group that responds to things you give them? For a poetry unit, invent a verse form that would end up written one word per blank, on a Rubik's cube. The "winning" poem gets transcribed onto a cube and put on a shelf (collected over the semesters or years)...

Then when they graduate to longer pieces, use the backs of jigsaw puzzles, again, one word per piece. 100 piece, 250, 500, 750, 1000, 1,500, or 2,000. Work the puzzle to be able to read the story.
