I'm having gerd reactions to citrus fruit and fresh veggies like broccoli and cauliflower -- I just saw the dr today, who said, "likely to be permanent, even with better meds..." Not what I wanted to hear.
On the good side, two of mom's 7 siblings are borderline diabetic, so I had blood sugar done 91, excellent, no problem.
BP 126/68 (Amazing what NO STRESS can do!) A funny: I got out at 12:36 and went for pizza at the only restaurant in town that serves lunch -- a buffet style with soup/salads available. As I was paying, the superintendent from Seymour came up and shook my hand, asking how I was doing.
"Playing hooky from school?" I quipped.
"Meeting with RB." Behind him was R. B, a former student of mine who is a principal, but working as the "fix it" guy for truants, etc. in Corydon. What the super REALLY wanted was to know if I was ready to start subbing. (NO WAY!)
So, I played the game. "Good, good. I just got out of the doctor's office and have the lowest bp of my life. Amazing what no stress from teaching can do."
He didn't have the guts to press it. Evidently the super had said something to Robbie beforehand, as when I did that routine, he began laughing appreciatively.
