Rattlesnake Recipe Requested

So I went out on the NANO forum and requested rattlesnake recipes... And actually got a reply!

I ate rattlesnake once at a restaurant. From what I understand, they fried it just like about everything else they served (it was one if those fish shacks where everything they sell is battered and fried). As for the taste, it's very meaty. Snakes are pretty much all muscle, so it was all very dark and tough. It tasted pretty good, but it was so bony I couldn't really enjoy it.

And paid for the experience, to boot! Do you remember where the restaurant was? (State/city?)

Jackson, Florida, and gave a nice description of the decor of the restaurant. I'll copy the post if time allows, so you all can enjoy WITHOUT trekking to FL.

Here's his/her post:

It's in Jacksonville, Florida. I can't remember the name of the restaurant (It was along the lines of *something* *something* Fish Shack, or maybe the *something* Family Fish Shack), but it was a real gem. They had an entire portion of their menu dedicated to unusual animals you could eat: rattlesnake, kangaroo, alligator, and about 6 more I can't remember. The decor was really awesome, too: The guy who owned it got a taxidermist to stuff a bunch of animals who died at the zoo, so there were stuffed animals everywhere in the rafters, and they were even set up in little scenes (there was an arctic scene, for example, where there a bunch of penguins, a polar bear, and a seal).
