# 87 The Year of Miss Agnes by Kirkpatrick Hill, a surprisingly good book, as it looked like a "light" read. Miss Agnes takes over when a White teacher can't stand the smell of FISH in an Alaskan fishing village where she was hired to teach. She has unorthodox ways that reach all the unteachables as well as adults, giving dignity, enthusiasm and an enlarged world view to her charges. I admit it, I cried at the end.
