NightMare Comes True

I had a dream that a horse was running around the house. About 3:30 am, I awoke. A horse was running around the house. I put on shoes and a flannel shirt over the nightgown I already had on (30° out there) and called "hey, hey". Leche popped around the corner of the library, tail cranked, neck bowed, blowing like crazy, and power trotted between the slab (which I am supposed to keep horses off for a while) and the trailer. I walked over, talking softly to her. I didn't think, as hyped up as she was, that she'd let me touch her with the wind blowing the skirt of the flannel nighty the way it was, but she did. I doubt I could have haltered her, however. She was HOT.

I walked behind the trailer into the dark area, her following hesitantly, opened the people gate into the hill pasture that leads down to the barn and pens, and she came right through, gave a huge snort and took off into the night, heading north, not down hill.

Then, of course, I couldn't fall back into sleep.
