10:21a - Writer's Block: This is a Recording
If you were to make an album consisting of only covers, which songs would you pick to sing?

What a neat idea! I'm sure I'd need an extended play disk.

ASSUMING I had the voice(s) for it (for I'd have to be the equal to the originals, and have someone to sing with on lots of these...) :

1. Hidden Away - Josh Groban
2. Non Nobis Domine - Patrick Doyle (from Henry V)
3. Fields of Athenry - Hollie Smith
4. Grace - Kenny Rogers
5. Night Ride Across the Caucasus - Loreena McKennitt
6. Fast Freight - The Kingston Trio (one I can actually sing...)
7. Chasing Cars - Blake
8. In Paradisum -Blake (from Gladiator)
9. Oro Mo Bhaidin (My Little Boat in Gaelic) - Lifescapes & Jeff Victor
10. Angel - Sarah McLachlan (from City of Angels)
11. Kothbiro (It's Going to Rain) - Ayub Ogada (traditional Kenya folksong)
12. Fragile - Sting & Julio Iglesias
13. Jaria Hamuda - Joan Baez (another one I can sorta sing...)
14. Skin to Skin - Harry Belafonte and Jennifer Warnes
15. Oh, Baby, Lie Down - Kendel Carson
16. The Scientist - Coldplay
17. Tear Upon the Rose - Gaelic Storm
18. Walking in the Air - Aled Jones
19. Anjo da Guarda - Airto Moreira
20. Blue as you - Shawn Mullins
21. Nothing But the Whole Wide World - Jakob Dylan (once I got going on his, I'd be into Evil Is Alive and Well, Something Good This Way Comes, Holy Rollers For Love, and Everybody's Hurting, as well)
22. Down to the Rover to Pray - Alison Krauss (from O, Brother Where Art Thou)
23. Amazing Grace
24. Poverty Hill - The Kingston Trio
25. It Was a Very Good Year - The Kingston Trio
26. And So It Goes - Billy Joel or Blake
27. Panis Angelicus - Josh Groban, Sting & Pavarotti

current mood: accomplished
