Letters Home

Mom reminded me that when I was a counselor at Camp Koronis in northern Minnesota, I used to write letters home. When I wanted to say something that I didn't want my parents to know, I'd put it in Spanish, which both my sisters were also taking.

She and Dad thought it was clever and laughed about it since they both trusted their children. When I re-read this to mom over the phone, she added to that sentence, "not to have a love affaire or something."
