Poetic Line

In a "brain dead" romance, one does not necessarily expect to find a poetic line... I have, I know, in the past, but it has been awhile. In Sweet Serenity by Billie Douglas, on page 110, she writes, "Serena melted like ice from a wintery mountaintop flowing surely to warmer pastures."

I went back and looked it up about the tenth time in as many pages as another romance author's inaccurate and wildly awry images and language were irritating me.

Maybe it's just all in the company one keeps.
