C. sent a shot of you and S., so I actually had an idea who Mom was talking about when she
called yesterday to say that you were getting married on your birthday. (Well, that's ONE way to make sure you don't forget the date of the anniversary...)
So, have a happy 52nd, and live long and prosper.
If you have friends/loved ones with cell phones, please send them this message.
In Case of Emergency
Following the London bombing, an English Ambulance Service has launched an international "In Case of Emergency ( ICE ) campaign", as they have discovered that at almost every accident scene there is a working mobile/cell phone on the victim(s).
The idea is that you store the word " I C E " in your mobile/cell phone address book, and against it enter the number of the person you would want to be contacted "In Case of Emergency".
T., can you check with your husband and let me know if the Wayne County Sheriff's Office/Iowa Highway Patrol is supporting this program? I think it is super sensible, even though I don't own a cell phone.
Churches also might be a good way to spread the idea. (I almost typed WORD, but I did NOT want to risk confusing anyone and let them think I was really trying to make an altar call here.)
