Don's Feature on Visits to the Old Age Home

Bob from Belmond (IA) writes, "Ever since my retirement, my days have been boringly the same. What should I do?"

The answer came from Pete, who has been retired for a while and is now in his 70's. "You have to seize the opportunities when they occur. The other day I went into the hardware store for some screws. When I came out, an officer was writing a ticket. 'Why don't you give a senior citizen a break?' He ignored me and kept on writing, so I called him a name. When he finished the first ticket, he began a second for low tread tires, so I called him a second, stronger name. This went on for some five minutes, with him writing ticket after ticket. I didn't care. My car was parked around the corner. Finally, still chuckling, I walked off."
