Query Summary

I just read a suggestion in Writer's Digest that a writer summarize the fiction novel just written in one sentence.

When elementary teacher Despina MacKenzie decides to take a summer school position at Stone Circles Indian Reservation in Arizona, her prosaic goal is to better her Spanish with some real life, total immersion experience, not take on M-16 toting government agents who are after the man she first claims she can't work for, then begins to fall in love with, using her cudgle-wielding students to capture some of the agents. She certainly didn't expect to return to her staid Iowa community an unwed mother with two Indian children to her name.

Ugh. Two sentences, horribly crowded.
