4:19p - Pandemonium Strikes the Street, Part III

When they got to the corner, NOBODY BOTHERED TO READ THE SIGN and STOP... four went east, 30 went west, and NOBODY went home. (Actually, these shots were made coming back from the west, as I didn't get to the place where I could video until then, emotionally...) We went after the big bunch, as we KNEW the others would come back to the herd, being herd animals and all... surely they would, right???

The pickup crept through the herd again, then honked. They headed home, but not at the street, at the neighbor's driveway. They left a very interesting story written in snow...

Into the drifted full ditch they went.

4:26p - Pandemonium Strikes the Street, Part IV

Actually, the extreme close ups were shot through the window, then I opened the door and stepped out for a better angle as they got further away.

Pandemonium De Nada, 18, pregnant, and already the first victum of the ice, taking a slid through the intersection on her side, was at the back of the herd,

floundering...

Missy had more presence of mind. She figured out how to ZOOM OUT on her brand new camera. She did, 1/8th of a MILE's worth, and videoed the herd running down the road and turning into the driveway...You could even hear the sound of their hooves on the paving in her video!

The pesky yard fence with its native oak 1x6 nearly ruins the shots, which were shot an 8th of a mile away! These are all from MIssy's footage.

7:23p - Pandemonium Hits the Street VI

We made several passes at the gate before all were safely in. First some went into the side pasture to be sure more adventure didn't await them there...(Nada, the old one who fell, thus ended up IN FRONT, and brought them into the driveway and on up where they belonged. She'd had enough adventure.)

So the Millennium Party video is pretty wild. We tried all sorts of sound tracks for it, "Country Roads, Take Me Home", "A 'Wanderer, Ah I'm a Wanderer, I Roam Around..." "Walk Right Back To Me This Minute", but even the died in the wool country music folks agreed the best sound track by far was the German import France van Suppe's "Light Cavalry Overture". We put the charging at a canter section with the running down the road, and it was a hit.

These cuts are stills from two different video cameras. If the snow is BLUE and fuzzy, I shot it. All the shots around the Confidence corner are mine... If it is WHITE and super clear, Missy did... we even had trouble putting the output of the two cameras together, the quality was so noticeably different. (The running down the hill and up into the driveway are hers.)
