Red_Peace's List of Writing Resources - Character Names

Here's a few I used in my world building and character creation. I hope they help! (Fantasy Name Generator -- Cultural) (D&D based generators (some useful to writers)) (Random Line Generators (Fantasy Shop/Tavern/Inn names, Battle Cries, etc.) (The Cave, with nice Fantasy Name and Village generators.)

Wow! I've Already Surprised Myself!

Those of you who have been reading my journal lately have suffered through unending quotes, occasional influxes of nature, and very little new writing, as my novel has been stalled. So, if you can't write the first book at present, move on to the Sequel, right?

Now, that bit of logical illogicalness lead me to sign up for the NaNoWriMo Challenge. The first time one of my friends mentioned it, I didn't go check it out. This time I did. So, I am trying to write a 50,000 word novel in ONE MONTH, during school, and if I can stick to 1500-2000 words a day, I'll get SOMEWHERE.

Consistent readers also know that I don't do poetry... but yesterday, right in the middle of a narrative stream, the fickle muse laid one on me. One I thought at the time was unrelated, but SURPRISE! I needed it.

Be There

Be there true love?
Be there happiness ever after?
Be there satisfaction and joy in the future?
Be there, someone, please, to guide me to this realm;
Just be there for me when I am low,
When I feel depressed,
When worthlessness overwhelms me.

When I just can't go on alone
Please be there;
A warm shoulder to lean on,
Gentle words to ease the load --
As I have done and been.
