Visit to Israel

One of the relatives who works for IBM was sent to Israel on business. He and his partner were given typed instructions to the meeting location in Hebrew.

The cabby they hired at the airport did not read Hebrew. Three times he stopped and asked passers-by if they spoke Hebrew before he hit a lady who could read it. She translated the directions for the driver, who then took them to the exact spot.

Ancient Hebrew is several times as old as Old English, and who among us can still read THAT?
