1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why?
I couldn't get away from the comic books Prince Valiant, Roy Rogers (and more importantly, Trigger), and Gene Autry (and Champion)... Guess I was screwed up from a very young age. No wonder my mother worried and used to accept dates for me over the phone with guys I'd already told "No way!" (They didn't have horses...)
2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got?
A horse. For my 16th birthday, I got PERMISSION to buy a horse. Now I have too many! LOL! We're having a drought.
3. What's the furthest from home you've been?
I'm not sure if the little islands of B.C.'s coast is farther than the tip of Florida, or the southern extreme of CA... or not. All over the US, (with horses/trailer...) but nothing European (not rich enough to fly my favorite nag over there... not really...when you have livestock, you have to stick around to FEED and WATER the things.)
4. What's one thing you've always wanted to learn but haven't yet?
How to play a musical instrument WELL... I don't evidently have the talent to do it. My parents had great faith in me. When the folk music craze hit, they gave me a ukulele for Christmas, and were surprised when not only did I not coax immediately recognizable tunes from it, but even with practice could not hit cords reliably....
5. What are your plans for the weekend?
If the Beemer gets a green light, I will go to Des Moines (80 miles one way) with $685 in hand and bring it home... Yeah, right. Fat chance! (I did steal the missing amount and deposit it in my bank account by robbing the hay purchasing savings account... UGH! I still have hay to pay for.) If not, I will 1) work on income tax (maybe all of ten or fifteen minutes before I've just had too much of it to stand), 2) grade papers (probably last 30 min. a day at that one) and 3) edit more of Summercircles now that Sequel is edited. I am hoping this roll will continue until Summercircles gets edited, then finished, then Sequel gets finished... So far, that's been something I've followed through with. 4) Horse around, cat around, and dog it... impossible to escape that as they are my children and very greedy in demanding attention.
Now, about where to submit? No clue!
